Tal Vaknin

 

 

Tal Vaknin was born on the 30/07/86 in Jerusalem. He is an Israeli singer that performs in front of many different audiences in venues around the world and in Israel. While doing so he manages to introduce his audiences to ballads and authentic rhythms that are incorporated in the contemporary music. From the day he was born Tal was drawn to music and began his musical journey at the age of 6 as a singer at the local synagogue while sitting beside his father. Already then he stood out for his vocal abilities and his wide vocal range. Tal is part of a musical family of cantors, singers and musicians who were his inspiration to bring something unique and different into his singing. During his childhood Tal studied music with Chana Aharoni, and sang with a children’s group in different performances and ceremonies. Tal began his path in the event world in a young age when he started performing as a wedding and Bar-Mitzvah singer. Tal served in the IDF as a singer in a military singing group and performed in front of many soldiers. After his army service Tal established his status as a moving wedding singer that incorporates prayer into his singing at the Chuppah and the Bar Mitzvah ceremony of receiving phylacteries. The performances started flowing and with them came an enthusiastic crowd.

In 2008, Tal worked with the singer Yossi Azulay on his album “prayers” and composed a booklet of interpretations and proverbs that came with the album. In 2010 he continues his work with Yossi on the album “prayers part 2”.
In 2009 Tal established in collaboration with the radio group of “Radio Darom” (south, north and Tel-Aviv) a radio station called “Galei Israel” as served as the head music editor and the manager of the music department. During his work at the radio station Tal worked with many people from the Israeli music industry and hosted a wide range of Israeli artists such as: Kobi Aflalo, Shlomi Shabbat, Harel Moyal, Dudu Aharon, Gilad Segev, Dor Daniel, Regev Hod, Kobi Oz, Gad Elbaz, Chaim Israel, Yaniv Ben Mashiach, Deklon, Lior Narkis, Omer Adam, Yonatan and Aharon Razael, Udi Davidi, David Da’or, Amiran Dvir, Mordechai Ben David and many others.
In 2011, In addition to his performances, in collaboration with the singer Yossi Azulai, Tal started “Musikids” a childrens singing and performing group. That year Tal also performed on Channel 24, The Israeli music Channel.
In the beginning of 2012 Tal was a guest performer during Gad Elbaz’s performance at the hall of culture in Tel-Aviv. That summer he performed in Central Park New York, for a crowd of 25,000 people. Tal was accompanied by 12 musicians and orchestrated by Shlomi Aharoni, as part of the yearly Israel support concert.
These days, in additions to his performances, Tal opened a recording studio where he is currently working on his first album.
